I know that they said they would give MS the right to accept or decline new IPs before they pitched them to nintendo or sony. But it's not what MS allows, it what Bungie chooses.

We already seen the stats they have that show 360 sales higher this week (due to NA price break) But the question is how much are those numbers exaggerated.

All sony has to do is get within the range of about 3 million consoles under the 360 (they are currently at about 5) to beat MS in software sales worldwide
I say that because they software sales in Europe are already better on the ps3 and japan is a no brainer.
So once they are about 3 million under the 360 install base in the U.S. you'll see Sony over the 360 in software sales
And no Joystiq and Kotaku aren't credible sources. They've both been known to add fire to false news

Personally, I agree, neither are important
Personally, to me it's just a distraction. I can't stand sharing half a screen no matter how big my tv is. And also, if you're playing competitively, all you have to do is look at your opponent's part of the screen to cheat and get an upper hand.
Bots I can understand the gripe. But not for split screen.
Especially with this day and age almost everyone is net connected (not everyone). Which btw is far more convenient than split screen

I won't deny that Bill Gates is leaving at a bad time. MS is facing stiff competition in every portion of their business. One the mp3 player side, the console side, search engine, and internet browser side, MS is fighting some hard battles right now.

Square is a better developer than Bungie.
Square has more hits to their name than Bungie. All Bungie has to their name that is of any worth is Halo. You can't say Marathon because that game was treated like it didn't exist until Bungie made a name for themselves with Halo. And the other game they made Brute Force was terrible.
